From 2008 to 2009 I served as the Tutoring Program Assistant at La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago, supervising a cadre of volunteer tutors and facilitating the tutoring sessions while simultaneously tutoring my own students. At UNC-Chapel Hill I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in a Plant Biology laboratory course, wherein I had responsibility for the teaching of a twice-weekly module on geographical vegetation types and conservation issues. I researched and prepared the material for the lessons, gave lectures, led discussions, and wrote assessment questions.
