I have a breadth of tutoring experience, having worked with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade and at the university level, in subjects including Ancient Greek, Latin, English as a second language, modern foreign languages, reading, writing, research skills, mathematics, chemistry, biology, and social studies. From 2008 to 2009 I served as the Tutoring Program Assistant at La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago, supervising a cadre of volunteer tutors and facilitating the tutoring sessions while simultaneously tutoring my own students. At UNC-Chapel Hill I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in a Plant Biology laboratory course, wherein I had responsibility for the teaching of a twice-weekly module on geographical vegetation types and conservation issues. I researched and prepared the material for the lessons, gave lectures, led discussions, and wrote assessment questions. Hobbies

I primarily love reading, writing, and languages. I fenced through high school and spent two years on UNC-Chapel Hill's varsity fencing team, competing in épée and twice earning a varsity letter. At Oxford I competed on my college's women's rowing team, participating in a victory at Christ Church Regatta 2016. I am an enthusiastic swing dancer, with forays into contra, ballroom, and Charleston. I worked for two years as a theatre technician at UNC-Chapel Hill's Memorial Hall, where we facilitated performances of figures such as Yo-yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Bill Nye, and Iron & Wine. I have performed in English language-learning materials for Czech-speaking audiences, and played Fleance, Banquo's son, in a university production of Macbeth. I love crochet and knitting.
